This plate of fava beans sautéed with onions, bacon, and some fresh lemon juice looks pretty good, but since I don’t really work with fava beans it was… complicated.
Specifically, I popped open the pods and took out the beans and started sautéing them…without taking the bean skins off.
I realized my mistake and then spent 10 minutes burning my finger tips while taking off the skins.
The flavour of the finished dish was pretty tasty, but a high fussiness factor
